St Therese Catholic
Primary School & Parish

Welcome to St. Therese Primary and Pre-school Badili. We are thrilled to have you join our vibrant and dynamic school community. Our resolute team of dedicated educators is committed to providing a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

At St. Therese, we believe in fostering a holistic education that not only focuses on academic excellence but also on the personal growth and character development of each student. Our curriculum is designed to inspire creativity, critical thinking, and a love for learning, while our extracurricular activities offer opportunities for students to explore their interests and talents.

We encourage open communication and collaboration between home and school, as we believe that a strong partnership with parents is essential to the success of our students. We invite you to actively participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and volunteer opportunities, and to stay engaged with your child's educational journey.

As we embark on this new school year, we are confident that, together, we can create a nurturing and enriching environment that empowers our students to achieve their full potential and become responsible, compassionate, and successful individuals. The school 100 Years centenary launch was on the 8th of November 2025, and we are proud to announce the preparations to this momentous occasion which will be celebrated in 2027.

We look forward to everyone’s participation and encourage parents to be actively involved in your child's education.

Warm regards,

Mr. Alex Ako

Schools Foundation

St Therese Badili Primary School was founded by the Catholic Church in 1926 in the Badili area of Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. The school was established to provide quality primary education grounded in Christian values, discipline, and service to the community. Named after Saint Thérèse of Lisieux, the school has grown from a small mission school into one of the oldest and most respected primary schools in the National Capital District. For nearly a century, St Therese has contributed to educating generations of Papua New Guineans and continues to promote academic excellence, faith, and good citizenship.
